WHAT OUR CLIENTS ARE SAYING
"Both are extremely knowledgeable and always seemed to spot what we wanted to see next."
My wife and I spent the final 3 days of our safari at Ubuntu Camp and were absolutely amazed. This camp was by far our favorite. We were greeted at the airstrip by our guide Victor and his spotter Meleji (I hope I spelled his name correctly). Victor decided to take us on a quick game drive on our way to camp. Little did we know that during this quick game drive we were about to see two of the most sought after sights. Within the first 45 minutes we came across a pair of rhinos. Up until this point, our only sighting of a rhino was in Ngorongoro and it was a significant distance away. We were able to spend 30 minutes with the rhinos, getting as close as 10-15 yards away, and captured a ton of wonderful photos. Clearly one of the highlights of our safari. After departing the rhinos, we then came upon a female cheetah with an impala she had recently killed. She looked completely stuffed, but as Victor pointed out, they very often have their kill stolen by larger predators and vultures so they eat as much and quickly as they can. Highlight number two and we've only been in the Serengeti for two hours! The memorable moments continued to follow the next two days with Victor and Meleji. Both are extremely knowledgeable and always seemed to spot what we wanted to see next. The Serengeti is a magical place and they made it even more magical.

"We were so close to a leopard we could hear him eating and see him lick his lips."
Last summer we took the trip of a lifetime. Victor, from Topguides, showed us around the Serengenti. We saw wildlife up close and personal. We were so close to a leopard we could hear him eating and see him lick his lips, We were feet away from a trio of cheetahs, and saw a pride of lions relaxing with their cubs. Our guide was professional on approaching animals without disturbing them. What we saw was partly luck, as we heard over and over let's see what nature will show us today, having an outstanding guide makes a huge difference. Not only do you rely on the guide to find what nature will show that day, you rely in the guide to communicate clearly and to be have patience when you can't see the lion laying in the grass six feet away. We enjoyed our safari with Victor. It exceeded our expectations in part because he was willing to use his knowledge of the area to take us off on our own and not rely on other guides radioing him where to go. Every night at dinner when comparing what we saw, we were impressed most with our own experiences.
